Ben is a native of Herington and comes to lead the Salina Diamond Baseball League team after having spent the past 10+ years as President of Operations for B.C. Motors. He has B.A. from Wichita State University in Sports Management and served on the statistical analytics team supporting the baseball and softball programs. At WSU, Ben employed new-age evaluation of autoregressive and logarithmic models to provide statistical data to senior leadership on the teams.
At a young age, Ben was elected as a City Commissioner in Herington, leading the small town through the financial and personnel turmoil of COVID-19. He also served as assistant athletic director at his hometown high school.
A ‘huge’ baseball fan, Ben tries to watch and attend as many baseball games as he can while also spending free time with his wife and two daughters.
Joining the Sliders as Director of Ticket Sales is Jacob Simpson.
Jacob recently graduated from Kansas Wesleyan University with a degree in Communications and Business Management.
He was a four-year baseball player at KW and a member of 4 KCAC Conference Championship teams.
Jacob is currently a volunteer assistant at the school in addition to his duties with the Sliders.
